What can you tell me about these respirators?
3M 9501+ KN95 is made by 3M China. This particular brand is manufactured for China, which is why the text is in Chinese. This KN95 have passed Chinese performance standard GB2626–2006 and produced with ear loops. The size of the folded respirator is 6.25 inches by 4.25 inches. The length of the earloop is 6 inches long.
How tight are the earloops?
This fully depends on the size of your face. We are unable to provide you with a sample mask to check. However, we can tell you after many customer reviews that these masks are tighter than your standard facemask. Why? These are KN95 and are designed to provide you a tight seal. Therefore, expect the masks to feel tight on your ears. If you want to take pressure off of your ears, then we recommend that you buy these mask loop length extenders on Amazon.
How do I know that these are authentic?

3M says that "no entity other than FEMA is directly acquiring these models from 3M and distributing them in the United States." How are you getting them from China?
This is correct. We are not purchasing these respirators from 3M China directly, but from an authorized 3M distributor in China (therefore, the prices are higher when we purchase these respirators through a distributor vs. purchasing directly from 3M China). We have verified with 3M China that our distributor is authorized. 3M's statement is about verifying that your 3M respirators are NOT counterfeits, and NOT about who can acquire and distribute 3M China respirators. 3M further states that "FEMA is the only entity that is acquiring significant quantities of 3M respirators directly from 3M in Asia," which means that other entities are acquiring smaller quantities of 3M respirators
What is a KN95?
KN95 respirator is a Chinese filtering facepiece respirator (FFR) that meets the Chinese performance standard GB2626–2006. KN95 respirators filter ≥ 95% of particles of 0.3 microns. According to 3M, “it is reasonable to consider China KN95, as “similar” to US NIOSH N95, for filtering non-oil-based particles such as bioaerosols (e.g. viruses).”
